The East Riding County Choir is a Choral Society with about 100 members drawn mainly from the East Riding of Yorkshire. Our Music Director is Paul Dewhurst.
We give two performances of four-part SATB classical choral works with orchestral accompaniment in Beverley Minster on a Saturday evening in May and December. On alternate years when Handel’s Messiah is performed, a carol concert also takes place in an East Riding Church by invitation.
We are currently welcoming new members for all voice parts. Although prior experience of choral singing is beneficial, auditions are no longer required. Rehearsals take place weekly from September to the beginning of May on Monday evenings at 7.30 p.m.
