Rehearsal Dates
Please note the rehearsal dates for 2025 are as follows:
- January 20th, 27th
- February 3rd, 10th, 24th
- March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st
- April 7th, 28th
- May Friday 2nd at Beverley Minster (mandatory)
- Concert Saturday 3rd May at Beverley Minster.
Summer Singing
- May 12th, 19th
- June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
- July 7th
- Concert Saturday 12th July at St. Mary’s, Beverley.
Members are expected to attend all rehearsals and will not usually be allowed to sing in a concert if three or more rehearsals have been missed without prior agreement with the committee.
Rehearsals are held at St. Nicholas Church, Holme Church Lane, Beverley HU17 0PY on Mondays at 7.30 pm – 9.30 p.m.
Subscriptions
The subscription fee of £110 p.a. is payable in two instalments on request. Subscriptions are due before the 3rd rehearsal of each term and are payable by cheque, cash or online. Please use the contact form to request details of how to pay online.
Please note that new members will receive a 100% discount for their first term!
Concert Dress
- Ladies – Black long skirt or smart black trousers, black top – blouse, jumper with jacket or cardigan;
- Men – Black (or dark) lounge suit, white shirt, red ERCC tie (available for purchase from the Treasurer);
- Copies should be displayed in a County Choir folder, available free from the Librarians.
Online Learning Resources
For the May 2025 concert, we will be singing Brahms’ A German Requiem (in English) and Sunrise Mass by Ola Gjeilo. You can listen to recordings of both of these below.
For the July 2025 concert, we will be singing Songs and Cries of London Town (Chilcott), Coronation Mass (Mozart) and Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo (Flanders & Horovitz).
